ShootProof is working with Glasser Images to help families impacted by Glasser's sudden closure. The project is evolving and we commit to updating this page with any new information every Tuesday by 5pm ET.

Update on Tuesday, May 10th:

  • We continue to locate and upload jobs from the Glasser Images hard drives. There are only 4 jobs remaining that we can deliver. We're awaiting replies from 2 photographers and 1 client before we can deliver these remaining jobs. Be sure to check emails for the email address provided during booking with Glasser Images.

Update on Tuesday, May 3rd:

  • We are continuing to locate and upload jobs from the Glasser Images hard drive and hope to deliver 8 of the remaining 10 jobs by this time next week.

Update on Tuesday, April 26th:

  • We are nearing the end of our involvement in the Glasser Images project as we have delivered all but 10 of the jobs that we have the permission and ability to do so.
  • We hope to deliver these 10 jobs via USB or Dropbox within the next month.

Update on Tuesday, April 19th:

  • RAW file delivery via USB continues, with more drives being mailed out this week.
  • If you have received your photos from your photographer directly and have not let us know, please do so that we can update our records. Thank you!

Update on Tuesday, April 12th:

  • More USB drives have been purchased and loaded with RAW files for distribution this week.
  • Clients who will be receiving USBs will be contacted via email with tracking information.

Update on Tuesday, March 29th:

  • We’re continuing to gather data on job sizes in order to purchase more USBs for RAW file delivery in the coming weeks.

Update on Tuesday, March 22nd:

  • 9 families received their RAW files via USB in the last week, and we’ll be delivering many more in the coming weeks.
  • Reminder - If you are working directly with your photographer to obtain files, please let us know when you receive them by emailing  so we can update our records.

Update on Tuesday, March 15th:

  • RAW file distribution via USB drive started this week. It’s important to note that we are only able to release files via this method if the photographer was paid for photographing the event OR if they have decided to release the files to us for direct distribution.

Update on Tuesday, March 8th:

  • This week, we sent emails to the clients of jobs with 2nd photographers who we haven’t heard back from, sharing the contact information of the photographer, if the photographer was unpaid.
  • If your 1st or 2nd photographer was paid and you haven’t received your files from them, please let us know so we can add your photos to the list of events to locate and share from the Glasser Images hard drives.
  • Distribution of RAW files from the Glasser Images hard drives via USB drive is expected to begin next week.

Update on Tuesday, March 1st:

  • A third and final email was sent last week to all unpaid 2nd photographers that haven’t responded to us yet. If no response is received, we will be sharing the photographer’s email address with the end client so that they can work something out with the photographer directly. 
  • We have purchased USB drives to expedite the process of transferring events from the Glasser Images hard drives where only RAW files were found. The distribution of these files is expected to begin later this month.

Update on Tuesday, February 22nd:

  • This week, we’re sending a third and final email to all unpaid 2nd photographers that haven’t responded to us yet. If no response is received, we'll share the photographer’s email address with the end client so that they can work something out with the photographer directly. 
  • We’ve recently taken several steps to expedite the process of connecting end clients with their files from the Glasser Images hard drives. We appreciate your patience with this process!

Update on Tuesday, February 15th:

  • All 2nd photographers who we haven’t heard back from have been emailed a 2nd time, and we’re receiving new replies daily. 
  • We continue to locate, upload, and share images from the Glasser Images hard drives where possible. We’re exploring alternative ways to deliver photos that we only have in RAW format.

Update on Tuesday, February 8th:

  • All 2nd photographers have been emailed and we’ve already received an encouraging number of replies. 
  • We’re continuing to locate, upload, and share images from the Glasser Images hard drives where possible, but the process is taking much longer than we hoped due to the number and size of files that we’re transferring. We’re actively exploring solutions to speed up the distribution of files.

Update on Tuesday, February 1st:

  • We’re continuing to receive and share images from the Glasser Images hard drives directly with end clients. This process is extremely time-consuming due to the number and size of files being transferred. We appreciate your patience as we continue to make progress on this.  
  • Outreach to all 2nd photographers that we haven’t already heard from begins this week.

Update on Tuesday, January 25th:

  • As of today, we've begun receiving files from the Glasser Images hard drives and delivering them to clients. We hope to connect many more families with photos from the hard drives in the coming weeks. It’s important to note that we can only share images from the hard drives if your photographer was paid but no longer has the files, or if your photographer was unpaid and gives us permission to release files via a release agreement. 
  • In most cases, the photographers have let us know that they are still planning to work out the delivery of files with the clients directly.

Update on Friday, January 18th:

  • We have no new updates to share since our last post. Effective immediately, our regularly scheduled updates will occur weekly on Tuesdays, by 5pm ET.

Update on Friday, January 14th:

  • This week, we reached out to all unpaid photographers who we've not heard back from yet, and all unpaid photographers who no longer have files in their possession, and we’re already receiving responses. Many photographers have let us know that while they do plan to work directly with the end clients to deliver photos, they are still working through a backlog of their own client’s files from 2021 work. Your patience and understanding are appreciated as they continue to work through everything.

Update on Tuesday, January 11th:

  • Photographer outreach - We'll be reaching out this week to all unpaid photographers that we've not heard back from yet, and all unpaid photographers that no longer have files in their possession, to see how they would like to proceed with the delivery of your photos.

Update on Friday, January 7th:

  • Next week, we plan to contact all unpaid photographers that we have not heard back from yet, encouraging them to reach out to their clients directly to make plans for delivering photos. 
  • If the photographer is not interested in delivering the photos and wishes for us to locate and deliver what we find on the Glasser Images hard drives, they can contact us at  giving us permission to do so.

Update on Tuesday, January 4th:

  • Hard drive update - Our contractor now has possession of the Glasser Images hard drives and is preparing up to access and upload images for sharing. Please keep in mind that there are thousands of folders located on multiple hard drives, so this will take some time to organize. 
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Images can only be shared from the hard drives if:
      • The photographer was paid for photographing your event,
        OR
      • The photographer wishes for us to deliver the files directly to you. In this case, the photographer is required to give us permission via a written release.
        If your photographer was not paid for photographing your event, the photo copyright remains with the photographer, and they are under no obligation to allow us to release the photos. 
  • If your photographer was not paid for photographing your event, we encourage you to work directly with the photographer to arrange delivery of the files. Please be patient with them as many are working with several former Glasser Images clients as well as clients of their own.

Update on Tuesday, December 28th:

  • While we have no new updates to share during this holiday week, we wanted to remind you that all past galleries in the Glasser Images ShootProof account have been reactivated with unlimited digital downloads and will remain live until 1/1/23. If you are the main client for a gallery and would like your password and PIN to access downloads, please click the Ask a Question button and provide the gallery name. We'll be in touch with the login credentials and download PIN.

  • We have no new updates to share since our last post. We'll be back next Tuesday before 5pm ET. In the meantime, have a wonderful holiday!

 

Update on Friday, December 17th:

  • In response to reports that we've heard regarding people receiving reactivated galleries that don't belong to them, we've created this article to help explain what happened. It's important to note that we have yet to find any evidence that any reactivated gallery was accessed by anyone who did not previously have access to it.
  • We'll post updates here on Tuesdays only for the next two weeks, in observance of the holidays.

Update on Tuesday, December 14th:

  • If you've been in contact with your photographer, please be patient with them. Many former Glasser Images photographers are working through images from multiple events, in addition to the images from their own direct clients, on top of it being one of the busiest times of the year for photographers.
  • Since the files from the Glasser Images hard drive(s) are still not accessible, we're continuing to work with photographers to confirm what files they possess and what they’re able and willing to do, as it relates to editing services and delivery of photos. We understand that some photographers no longer have the images they took, and/or are unable to take on any additional work right now. In these cases, we’ll continue to work with Glasser Images to try to locate your photos on their hard drive(s), once accessible.

Our next update will be no later than 5pm on 12/17.

 

Update on Friday, December 10th:

  • We have not been able to access the files from the Glasser Images hard drive(s) yet, so in an effort to connect you with your images as soon as possible, we’re encouraging your photographer to work directly with you to edit and/or deliver your files. Please note that most of these photographers have their own businesses and are in the middle of their busy season, so it may take some time to get your images ready for sharing. If your photographer does not wish to provide editing services, they may deliver unedited RAW images to you so that you can obtain your own editing services. In the meantime, we will continue working with Glasser Images to try to access files from their hard drive(s).
  • If you’re in need of editing services, two former Glasser Images contractors have agreed to provide services for a fee. You can contact them directly for more information.

Update on Tuesday, December 7th:

  • All galleries in the Glasser Images ShootProof account have been reactivated with unlimited digital downloads and will remain live until 1/1/23.
  • We expect that many photographers and videographers will be reaching out this week to discuss the delivery of your photo and video files, now that Glasser has provided the copyright release statement.
  • If you have already received your files from your photographer or videographer, please email us at  to let us know. 
  • If your photographer no longer has a copy of their files, we are continuing to work with Glasser Images to try and access files from their hard drives, but we understand that they are not immediately accessible.

Update on Friday, December 3rd:

  • The release statement giving photographers and videographers the written permission to edit and/or deliver photo and video files was distributed to all photographers and videographers today.
  • In cases where the photographer no longer has files from events they photographed, we’re working with Glasser Images to attempt to locate these files on their hard drives.
  • If you've received RAW files from your photographer and are in need of editing services, please contact Kevin Fedde (a former editor for Glasser Images) at feddestudios.com.

Update on Tuesday, November 30th:

  • Many photographers are waiting on a written release from Glasser Images before moving forward with editing and/or delivering images, so if you haven’t heard from your photographer yet, this could be why. 
  • If you previously placed a print order through Glasser Images and have not received your order yet, these orders will be sent to the lab by the end of this week.
  • If your photographer does not have the ability to provide editing services for your unedited photos, we soon hope to share options for getting them edited through another service.

Update on Tuesday, November 23rd:

  • All primary photographers have been emailed with next steps, and we're beginning to receive information regarding file location and editing status. 
  • In many cases, photographers will reach out to end clients directly via email, so keep an eye out for communication soon. 

No Friday update this week due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Our next update will be no later than 5pm on 11/30.

 

Update on Friday, November 19th:

  • If you placed a print order through a gallery and have not yet received it, we'll reach out via email to confirm that you still want your order fulfilled.
  • If you need access to a previously delivered gallery that has since expired, please email  to request access.
  • We're almost finished reconciling the most recent records we received from Glasser Images. When this is complete, outreach to the remaining photographers will begin.

Update on Tuesday, November 16th:

  • We have officially contracted a former Glasser employee who has begun helping us reconcile records.
  • Photographer outreach to understand the location and editing status of files began this week.

Our next update will be no later than 5pm ET on Friday, November 19th.

Update on Friday, November 12th:

  • We are in the process of contracting a former Glasser Images employee to help obtain the missing information we need to proceed. 
  • Once the contractor has been procured and the missing information starts to come in, photographer outreach (to identify the location and status of files) will begin, hopefully next week.
  • We are compiling a list of options for getting images edited, if they were not edited prior to the closure of Glasser Images.

Update on Tuesday, November 9th:

  • Before we can reach out to former Glasser Images photographers about the location and status of images, we require some additional information from Glasser Images that will inform how each event can be handled. We are still waiting on that information. Photographer outreach will begin as soon as this is provided by Glasser Images, hopefully starting later this week. 

Our next update will be no later than 5pm ET on Friday, November 12th.

 

Update on Friday, November 5th:

  • We've completed our audit and reconciled the data we received from Glasser Images, confirming the primary photographer and end client for each event.
  • Next week we will begin reaching out to these photographers to confirm the location of photos that haven't yet been distributed to clients.
  • All inbound emails received have been responded to by our Support team.

Our next update will be no later than 5pm ET on Tuesday, November 9th.

 

Update on Tuesday, November 2nd:

  • We're making progress working through files of event and client data provided by Glasser Images. We estimate we're approximately 25% of the way through this process and are aiming to complete it by the end of this week. Once completed we will begin reaching out to photographers directly to better understand the current status of each job they were assigned to; including, but not limited to, the current location of images.
  • As we gain clarity on the status of each job, we'll contact former clients of Glasser Images to provide personalized updates and outline next steps. This time-consuming process will take several weeks to complete once we finalize the initial status review of each job. The scope of this project is large and complicated and we're working diligently to ensure you receive your images as soon as possible. In the meantime, please be patient with us and check back regularly for updates.

Update on Friday, October 29th: 

  1. We have established a project team to work on this project for the remainder of 2021. This is a top priority for us, but due to the amount of work involved, we anticipate it could take several weeks to complete. We appreciate your patience while we complete our initial research and planning.
  2. We have started reviewing data files received from Glasser Images containing information on all jobs, including the contact information for the assigned photographers (including 2nd shooters), editors, and end clients. These files are helpful but require some manual work to clean up into a format that we can work with more efficiently. This work has begun.
  3. We expect to begin responding to inquiries submitted through our "Ask a question" form and proactively reaching out to impacted families at the end of next week, once we've completed our initial research and planning work.
